Robert Chamberlain is the Founder and Managing Director of Huno Group. Robert started the business in 2003 as a way for travel agents to compete online. Studying IT at the University of Sydney, he built the first evolution of the website initially as an online marketplace for airfares and air travel products. Whereby travel agents and tourism operators could list travel deals for consumers to search and compare prices. For the first few years the business operated exclusively as a flight comparison site, however it evolved to other forms of travel including accommodation and car hire.
By 2007, the site had reached a Hitwise top 10 travel position in Australia and featured leading online travel agents as partners including Flight Centre, Travel.com.au, Lastminute, Wotif and Expedia. Today the business helps hundreds of millions of travellers around the world search for their ideal accommodation across a network of over 50 travel sites and brands.
